About technical professionalism
Just found these pills of wisdom within Lean IT Foundation, by Niels Loader and Jeroen Janssen:
“Applying Lean to IT is […] about applying Lean to people, not machines. Aiming for perfection means raising the level of professionalism of the people involved. This means improving their ability to solve problems, to deliver and provision services in a predictable time frame and quality, to work autonomously and in a team, and to improve their mastery of the subject matter. Aside of skills training, this means taking on a new mind-set focused on value, value streams, flow, pull and perfection.”
I wish every organization really made its people reach this level of professionalism…
